Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. All our surgeries receive a thorough pre-op exam and vital signs are monitored throughout the procedure as well as post operatively. We recommend pre-op blood work for all surgeries and it is mandatory for pets over seven years old.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Except for very short procedures, our surgical patients are intubated, and maintained on gas anesthesia (isofluorine). This allows us to control the concentration of anesthetic gas at all times.
Radiology Services: Our Digital X-ray unit provides high quality digital images to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disease processes. We also have digital radiography for our dental patients. This allows for superior x-ray quality and the ability to magnify and modify images to focus on even the most minor pathology.
Ear Scoping: We have a video Vet Scope which allows us to evaluate the inside of the ear under magnification. This allows us to deep clean the ear and evaluate the ear drum. It is a critical part of treating acute or chronic ear diseases. It is also a great tool to remove foreign bodies or biopsy/remove tumors in the ear.
Dentistry: We have a dental suite strictly devoted to dental procedures. Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. We have a 10% discount on all dentals in February and all dentals receive a sample of Hills T/d diet and a dental report which explains your pets individual treatment and homecare recommendations.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Permanent identification: We offer Home Again microchip identification.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets. We can also special order individual products that we do not stock on our shelves but you may personally wish to purchase for your pet. These items can be purchased here and shipped to your home.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet. We carry several options of flea, tick and heartworm prevention.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. In severe cases medication can be prescribed to supplement behavior modification techniques.
